Knowing the importance of home and how space, color, and light affect a person's wellbeing, Barbara A. Scorse obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts with a major in Interior Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
As interiors are 3 dimensional, her art has also been 3 dimensional. Collages featuring found objects and objects from nature, large scale clocks, and temporary art in nature fill her portfolio from the past 30 years.
A lifelong love of nature and her work as Project Coordinator for the Monoosnoc Brook Greenway Project in Massachusetts has also influenced her art. Barbara now resides in Coastal Maine in a home filled with light, color, plants, rocks, and minerals, in what she calls mid-century-steampunk-nature design.
